Stat Priority

Strength

Primary stat — always prioritize item level. Higher ilvl means more Strength.

Mastery

Increases Frost damage dealt. Your best secondary stat for Obliterate and Frost Strike builds.

Critical Strike

Increases chance to critically strike. Synergizes well with Killing Machine for massive Obliterate crits.

Haste

Reduces GCD and rune regeneration time. Valuable for Breath of Sindragosa uptime and smoother rotation.

Versatility

Flat damage increase and damage reduction. Lowest priority DPS stat but provides survivability.

Rotation Priority

Pillar of Frost

Use on pull and on cooldown. Line up with raid burst windows for maximum Strength bonus.

Empower Rune Weapon

Use during Pillar of Frost for maximum burst. Provides Haste and restores Runes and Runic Power.

Breath of Sindragosa

Activate during burst windows with full Runic Power. Maintain by spending Runes on Obliterate to generate RP.

Remorseless Winter

Use on cooldown for AoE damage. Generates Gathering Storm stacks for increased damage.

Obliterate

Primary rune spender. Always prioritize Killing Machine procs for guaranteed critical strikes.

Howling Blast

Use with Rime procs for free damage. Also used to apply Frost Fever and for AoE pulls.

Frost Strike

Runic Power spender. Use to prevent RP capping when Breath is not active. Also procs Killing Machine.

Anti-Magic Shell
