What to wear at the beta level cap, slot by slot, for all nine classes. Forever reworked old dungeon loot, made every boss drop a blue and added quest rewards that did not exist in Classic, so the old Classic lists are wrong for most slots. Every pick here is checked against Wowhead's Forever database, and each spec has a character sheet you can dress on any race and open in 3D.

Friend of the Library (10 books)
Pick one: a Stamina and Spirit neck or an Agility and Stamina neck. Item level 25, and it fills a slot dungeons barely drop for at this level.
Greater Friend of the Library (20 books)
Item level 40 rings. The caster ring has 10 spell damage. The Strength, Agility and Stamina loop is listed as Rogue only on Wowhead.
Why beta lists, and why now
The beta opened at level 20 on September 17 and is due to move to 30. Blizzard hides new item stats until an item drops, so nobody can publish a real level 60 list before launch on November 4. These lists cover what testers can actually wear, and we update them when the cap moves.
How we check a pick
Picks start from ForeverChanges' level 20 lists and are cross-checked against Icy Veins, Wowhead, Realm First and wowtbc.gg. Items come from Wowhead's Forever database: a script re-reads every tooltip and fails the list if an item is missing, sits in the wrong slot, is locked to another class or needs a higher level than the cap.
