Optimized for sustained AoE and cleave in Mythic+ dungeons. Swaps Aspect of the Hydra for Trick Shots and incorporates Light Ammo for extended AoE capability. Sentinel marks and damages multiple enemies simultaneously.

When to use: Use if you prefer the Dark Ranger playstyle. Sentinel is generally recommended over Dark Ranger for all content in Midnight Season 1.

Stat Priority

Agility

Primary stat — always prioritize item level. Higher ilvl means more Agility and Attack Power.

Critical Strike

Increases critical hit chance. Multiple talents scale off Crit, and synergizes with Trueshot and Bullseye for burst.

Mastery

Enhances Mastery: Sniper Training, increasing the damage and range of all Hunter abilities.

Versatility

Flat damage increase and damage reduction. Provides consistent throughput and survivability.

Haste

Reduces cast times, GCD, and cooldowns of most rotational abilities. Lowest priority secondary stat.

Rotation Priority

Trueshot

Use on pull and on cooldown. Your primary burst cooldown that empowers Aimed Shot.

Wailing Arrow

Use on cooldown for burst damage. Silences enemies in AoE — great for Mythic+ utility.

Volley

Use on cooldown. Grants Double Tap buff, causing your next Aimed Shot to fire again. Activates Trick Shots.

Aimed Shot

Your hardest-hitting ability. Generates Precise Shots procs. Empowered by Bulletstorm stacks from Rapid Fire.

Rapid Fire

Use on cooldown. Generates Bulletstorm stacks that massively buff your next Aimed Shot, and Precise Shots procs.

Arcane Shot

Spend Precise Shots procs on single-target. Your primary proc consumer in single-target situations.

Multi-Shot

Spend Precise Shots procs on 2+ targets. Activates Trick Shots for Aimed Shot and Rapid Fire ricochets.

Kill Shot

Use during execute phase (below 20% HP). Deals massive damage to low-health targets.

Steady Shot

Filler spell for focus generation. Usable while moving. Cast between Aimed Shot casts to maintain focus.
