Talent Builds
Stat Priority
1
Intellect
Primary stat — always prioritize item level. Higher ilvl means more Intellect.
2
Mastery
Increases all DoT damage (Potent Afflictions). Your best secondary stat for sustained damage output.
3
Haste
Increases DoT tick rate and reduces cast times. Strong for more Agony ticks and faster Malefic Rapture casts.
4
Critical Strike
Increases chance to critically strike. Solid stat that scales evenly across all DoTs and direct damage.
5
Versatility
Flat damage increase and damage reduction. Lowest priority DPS stat but valuable for survivability.
Rotation Priority
1
Maintain on all targets at all times. Ramps up damage over time and generates soul shards.
2
Maintain on all targets. Instant cast DoT that provides consistent damage and Nightfall procs.
3
Maintain on your primary target. Cannot be dispelled without backlash and feeds Malefic Rapture damage.
4
Use on cooldown. Increases all damage dealt to the target and feeds your DoT damage.
5
Use when all DoTs are active. Extends all DoTs and deals damage amplified by the number of DoTs on targets.
6
Use on cooldown. Strong DoT that also heals you for a percentage of the damage dealt.
7
Primary soul shard spender. Deals damage to all targets afflicted by your DoTs. Use at 3+ shards.
8
Filler channel when no DoTs need refreshing. Generates soul shards and deals increased damage below 20% HP.
