Talent Builds

Stat Priority

1
Strength
Primary stat -- increases attack power and parry chance. Prioritize item level for more Strength.
2
Haste
Reduces GCD and increases rage generation. Best secondary stat for Shield Block uptime and smoother gameplay.
3
Critical Strike
Increases critical strike and parry chance. Provides both offensive damage and defensive value through parry.
4
Versatility
Flat damage increase and damage reduction. Solid for both offense and survivability as a tank.
5
Mastery
Increases Shield Block value and Critical Block chance. Good for physical damage reduction but lowest priority.

Rotation Priority

1
Maintain 100% uptime during active tanking. Your primary active mitigation ability.
2
Use on cooldown. Highest priority rotational ability for threat and rage generation.
3
Use on cooldown. With Mountain Thane, Thunder Blast becomes your highest priority when available.
4
Use on pull and on cooldown. Increases damage dealt and removes roots and snares.
5
Use as a damage reduction cooldown. Reduces damage dealt by all nearby enemies.
6
Major defensive cooldown. Increases max HP by 30%. Use during heavy damage intake.
7
Use excess rage on Ignore Pain. Absorbs incoming damage based on attack power.
8
Use free Revenge procs or as a rage spender on multiple targets. Strong AoE threat.
9
Major defensive cooldown. Reduces all damage taken by 40% for 8 seconds. Use during heavy damage intake.
10
Use on cooldown for burst AoE threat and damage. Also generates rage over its duration.
11
Use on targets below 20% HP. Strong finisher that also generates threat.
