Raid Single Target (Spellslinger)

Maximum single-target damage for raid encounters. Spellslinger is the best choice in all content for Midnight Season 1, with significantly more damage than Sunfury. Uses Orb Master capstone giving Arcane Orb the ability to generate Arcane Salvo quickly.

When to use: Use for all raid bosses where single-target damage is the priority. Spellslinger is the best choice in all content for Midnight Season 1. For multi-target, drop Eureka and pick up Resonance.

Mythic+ AoE (Spellslinger)

Optimized for sustained AoE and cleave in Mythic+ dungeons. Spellslinger provides strong multi-target damage through Splinterstorm and additional Arcane Orb effectiveness. Includes utility talents from the class tree.

When to use: Use for all Mythic+ dungeons. Strong sustained AoE with Arcane Orb and Arcane Barrage cleave, plus solid burst from Touch of the Magi.

Stat Priority

Intellect

Primary stat — always prioritize item level. Higher ilvl means more Intellect.

Mastery

Increases the effectiveness of Arcane Charges, damage of most abilities, and mana pool size. Your best secondary stat.

Haste

Increases casting speed and reduces GCD. Note that Haste increases mana spend from Arcane Blast and Arcane Pulse.

Critical Strike

Provides chance for double damage. Synergizes with Arcane Surge burst windows and Arcane Missiles procs.

Versatility

Flat damage increase and damage reduction. Lowest priority DPS stat but valuable for survivability.

Rotation Priority

Arcane Surge

Use on pull and on cooldown. Your primary burst cooldown — maximizes damage at 4 Arcane Charges.

Touch of the Magi

Apply immediately after Arcane Surge. Accumulates and releases damage for massive burst.

Arcane Orb

Use to generate Arcane Charges quickly and trigger Arcane Salvo via Orb Master. Also strong for AoE situations.

Arcane Blast

Primary damage spell. Cast at 4 Arcane Charges during burn phases for maximum damage.

Arcane Missiles

Use Clearcasting procs immediately. Free mana and strong damage during burst windows.

Arcane Barrage

Use to dump Arcane Charges during conserve phase or for AoE cleave damage. Generates Arcane Salvo stacks.

Arcane Pulse

Core rotational ability. Generates Arcane Charges and contributes to Arcane Salvo stacks between burst windows.
