Talent Builds
Stat Priority
1
Intellect
Primary stat — always prioritize item level. Higher ilvl means more Intellect.
2
Mastery
Increases the effectiveness of all Elemental Overload procs. Your best secondary stat for both ST and AoE.
3
Haste
Reduces cast times and GCD. Strong for Lava Burst throughput and overall rotation fluidity.
4
Critical Strike
Increases chance to critically strike. Lava Burst auto-crits on Flame Shocked targets, reducing its relative value.
5
Versatility
Flat damage increase and damage reduction. Lowest priority DPS stat but valuable for survivability.
Rotation Priority
1
Maintain on the target at all times. Enables Lava Burst auto-crits and Lava Surge procs.

Use on cooldown. Empowers your next two Lightning Bolts or Chain Lightnings for massive damage.
3
Use on pull and on cooldown. Lava Burst becomes instant and has no cooldown during Ascendance.
4
Use on cooldown and on Lava Surge procs. Always crits on Flame Shocked targets.
5
Use on cooldown as a high-priority spender. Deals heavy damage and grants a secondary stat buff.
6
Use at 60+ Maelstrom to spend resources. Earthquake instead for 2+ stacked targets.
7
Use at 60+ Maelstrom on 2+ targets. Sustained AoE ground effect that also knocks down enemies.
8
Use to empower Frost Shocks for Maelstrom generation and damage between Lava Burst cooldowns.
9
Filler spell. Generates Maelstrom and has a chance to trigger Elemental Overload.
