Talent Builds
Stat Priority
1
Intellect
Primary stat -- always prioritize item level. Higher ilvl means more Intellect.
2
Mastery
Increases the effectiveness of all Elemental Overload procs. Aim for ~1200 rating (soft cap around 76-86%) then split into other stats.
3
Haste
Reduces cast times and GCD. Tied with Crit after Mastery cap -- split budget between Haste and Crit.
4
Critical Strike
Increases chance to critically strike. Significantly more valuable in Midnight due to Feedback Loop and Lava Burst scaling.

Versatility
Flat damage increase and damage reduction. Lowest priority -- minimize where possible.
Rotation Priority
1
Maintain on the target at all times. Enables Lava Burst auto-crits and Lava Surge procs.
2
Use on cooldown. Empowers your next two Lightning Bolts or Chain Lightnings for massive damage.
3
Use on pull and on cooldown. Lava Burst becomes instant and has no cooldown during Ascendance.
4
Use on cooldown and on Lava Surge procs. Always crits on Flame Shocked targets.
5
Use on cooldown as a high-priority spender. Deals heavy damage and grants a secondary stat buff.
6
Use at 60+ Maelstrom to spend resources. Earthquake instead for 2+ stacked targets.
7
Use at 60+ Maelstrom on 2+ targets. Sustained AoE ground effect that also knocks down enemies.
8
High priority spender when available. Empowered Nature damage ability from Maelstrom spending.
9
Voltaic Blaze
Applies Flame Shock to multiple targets. Use on cooldown for AoE Flame Shock spreading that synergizes with Lava Burst procs.
10
Filler spell. Generates Maelstrom and has a chance to trigger Elemental Overload.
