Priest best in slot gear.
Priests split cleanly into two lists at 20. Holy wants healing on everything and Shadow wants Shadow damage, but both are Tailoring-heavy and both take the Scholarly Pendant and the Philanthropist's Ring from the library book quests. The weapon depends on your faction: Alliance get staves, Horde get a one-hander and Skum's Bucket.
Holy Priest BiS
Healing first. The Pristine pieces are Tailoring crafts with healing on them. Alliance take the Staff of Westfall from The Defias Brotherhood. Horde take The Stitcher from Light's Justice in Ruins of Lordaeron with Skum's Bucket from Wailing Caverns in the off hand. The Sizzle Stick is the wand for both.

Shadow Priest BiS
Shadow damage first. Swap the Pristine crafts for the Shadow ones, wear Necrology Robes from Shadowfang Keep trash, and use the Gravestone Scepter wand from Blackfathom Villainy. Alliance use the Witching Stave; Horde use Evocator's Blade with Skum's Bucket.

Priest gearing tips.
- Both Priest lists take the Scholarly Pendant and the Philanthropist's Ring from the library books. Twenty books is a lot at level 20, but the ring is the best caster ring in range.
- The Pristine and Shadow crafted pieces bind when made, so only a Tailor can wear them. Magician's Mantle and Spidersilk Boots can be bought.
How these lists are built
The picks start from ForeverChanges' level 20 lists, the only ones that cover every spec for both factions, cross-checked against Icy Veins, Wowhead, Realm First and wowtbc.gg ("Also picked by"). Every item is read from Wowhead's Forever database, which fills in from the beta client as testers loot things. Blizzard hides item stats until an item has dropped, so a list can only use what has been seen. We check each pick fits its slot, can be used by the class and does not need a higher level than the beta cap.
Hover any item for the full Wowhead tooltip. The stats and totals on this page were read on September 28, 2026 and will move with beta builds.
Trinkets are thin at 20. The Minor Recombobulator needs Engineering 140 to use, and Lookie's Spyglass from Cookie in the Deadmines is there for its single point of Spirit. Crafted pieces marked "binds when picked up" can only be worn by the crafter.
The 3D preview
Wowhead does not allow its 3D viewer on other sites, so "See it in 3D" opens its Forever dressing room with the whole set already equipped on the race and gender you picked. Neck, rings and trinkets have no model, so they are left off there.
