Warrior best in slot gear.
At level 20 a Warrior is geared by the Deadmines and Wailing Caverns. The weapon, the belt, the chest and a ring come from those two dungeons, and the rest is quests and Blacksmithing. Fury and Arms want the biggest two-hander they can get. Protection is built mostly from quest rewards, including the Warrior class quests, which hand out a mail chest, gloves and legs on each side.
Blacksmiths have an edge. The new Silvered Chain helms top most of the head slots here, but they bind when made, so only the Blacksmith who crafts one can wear it.
Fury and Arms Warrior BiS
Everything hangs on the weapon. Alliance take Smite's Mighty Hammer from Mr. Smite in the Deadmines. Horde get Hammerbone from Leaders of the Fang, the Wailing Caverns quest. After that it is Strength wherever you can find it: Mutanus' breastplate, Greenskin's belt, and the Vilewalkers from Viktor the Vile in the new Ruins of Lordaeron dungeon.
Stat priority: Two-hand weapon damage/DPS > Strength > Attack Power > Agility (crit) > Stamina (someone else tanks)

Kill Nightveiled Rotheap, a new elite patrol on the Wetlands river (around 49, 33), for Rotheap Innards and trade them to Rethiel the Greenwarden (around 56, 40). Alliance only, one ring per character.
Needs Engineering (140) to use.
Protection Warrior BiS
A tank list built from quests. The Warrior class quests give the Fire Hardened set to Alliance and the Brutal set to Horde, and Butcher's Slicer from Razorclaw in Shadowfang Keep is the slow one-hander you want for Heroic Strike threat. Alliance also get the Seal of Wrynn from the Stormwind quest chain. Pair the slicer with Crest of Darkshire (Alliance) or the Arctic Buckler (Horde).
Stat priority: Armor and Stamina > Defense > slow one-hander (Heroic Strike adds flat damage, so slower = more threat per rage) + shield

Warrior gearing tips.
- Both Warrior lists use the Minor Recombobulator, which needs Engineering 140 to use. There is no other trinket worth listing at 20, so without Engineering that slot stays empty for now.
- The Erudite's Amulet from the library books is an easy neck for any Warrior. The ring for twenty books is Rogue only for now, so do not farm the second ten for it.
- Horde tanks need Shadowfang Keep quests for three pieces (Seal of Sylvanas, Bronzed Shoulderguards, Steel-clasped Bracers). Shadowfang Keep is a stretch at the level 20 cap, so those may have to wait for the cap to rise.
How these lists are built
The picks start from ForeverChanges' level 20 lists, the only ones that cover every spec for both factions, cross-checked against Icy Veins, Wowhead, Realm First and wowtbc.gg ("Also picked by"). Every item is read from Wowhead's Forever database, which fills in from the beta client as testers loot things. Blizzard hides item stats until an item has dropped, so a list can only use what has been seen. We check each pick fits its slot, can be used by the class and does not need a higher level than the beta cap.
Hover any item for the full Wowhead tooltip. The stats and totals on this page were read on September 28, 2026 and will move with beta builds.
Trinkets are thin at 20. The Minor Recombobulator needs Engineering 140 to use, and Lookie's Spyglass from Cookie in the Deadmines is there for its single point of Spirit. Crafted pieces marked "binds when picked up" can only be worn by the crafter.
The 3D preview
Wowhead does not allow its 3D viewer on other sites, so "See it in 3D" opens its Forever dressing room with the whole set already equipped on the race and gender you picked. Neck, rings and trinkets have no model, so they are left off there.
